Where to Give this Tuesday in Asheville

As a company, and as individuals, we believe in equity. We believe there is enough to go around. We believe that a rising tide should lift all boats.

That's why we are proud to invest in substantive partnerships with community organizations, schools, local artists, and small businesses in Asheville. In 2020, our company tithed 10% of our gross revenue in support of our Community Partners. We are proud to support Hall Fletcher Elementary school, as one of their key sponsors. This year we donated funds to purchase supplies for teachers and students. We support Asheville's independent radio station, Asheville F.M, as an Underwriter. Additionally, we have continued our support of Homeward Bound in the fight to end homelessness in Asheville. We are a proud Key Society member, and donate meals to Asheville residents experiencing homelessness several times per year. We are honored to contribute to these partnerships.

This holiday season, we invite you to join us in giving to one or all of these organizations!

Homeward Bound

"Homeward Bound proudly uses the best practice Housing First model to end homelessness. Housing First is a homeless assistance approach that prioritizes providing permanent housing to people experiencing homelessness. This approach is guided by the belief that people need basic necessities like food and a place to live before attending to anything less critical, such as getting a job, budgeting properly, or attending to substance use issues."

Why should you give now?

Experts are predicting a 30% rise in folks experiencing homelessness this winter. In Asheville, that means more than 700 people could be experiencing the mountain winter without the warmth and safety of a stable home. All donations made between now and December 31 will be matched, up to $100,000.

Donate gently used clothing items via our Warm Clothing Drive.

Asheville F.M.

As our local independent radio station, Asheville FM is a nonprofit community radio station driven by volunteers throughout our diverse community.

They offer eclectic and relevant programming in both English and Spanish, and feature a range of topics from local politics to pet care! With a myriad of shows and podcasts, it’s the station’s mission to positively impact the Asheville community through providing services like youth & community podcasting boot camps, a live performance studio featuring local musicians, and partnerships with community organizations.

Why you should give?

Asheville F.M is wrapping up their Fall Fund, with a goal of raising $30,000. They need to raise about $5,000 to meet their goal to support their programming. It's a great time to give to Asheville F.M!

The Asheville Humane Society

In Their Own Words

"We're about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living."

Why you should give?

Our Systems Manager, Stephie, is hardly ever without sweet little foster fluffs home. Stephie runs a micro-sanctuary from her home, where she fosters animals through the Asheville Humane Society.
