Happy August! The summer solstice is behind us and back-to-school is coming up soon, believe it or not. That being said, we still have a little more summer left before autumn comes around, which means it’s officially time to squeeze as many fun things as you can into your week. 

Below are just a few fun events coming up in the High Country soon, so you can plan ahead accordingly and pack your calendar out.

Punch Brothers 
August 1 at 8 p.m.

The critically acclaimed, Brooklyn-based band comes to Boone to promote their new album All Ashore. The Punch Brothers are a quintet of a mandolinist, violinist, guitarist, bassist, and banjoist, and have been called one of the best contemporary folk bands in the United States.

Museum Summer Concert Series: Jodi Burns, Thao Nguyen

Soprano Jodi Burns and baritone Thao Nguyen return for a summer concert session in the atrium at the Art and History Museum. Their sultry summer duet will cover all genres of music from opera to Broadway.
